 Gigi's guide to a perfect makeup look! 💗:

To achieve the perfect makeup look you need to know your face type and your undertone. Based off this information will be the makeup look that suits you best! ✨

Different types of faces💝:

There are many ways to tell your face type and many quizzes online but in this post I'm going to focus on the Chinese "taste" types of faces. The 4 different types of face are sweet (甜系), salty (盐系) , spicy (辣系), and bitter (苦系).

The sweet face (甜系)❤:

The sweet face is a cute, refreshing type of face with more rounded, curved and simple features giving an innocent or pure appearance. In my opinion some examples would be: HAYOUNG from Fromis_9 , or HYEONGJUN from Cravity.💛

The salty face (盐系 )❤:

The salty face has more of a mature and sharper type of look. It also has some "clean girl" vibes and also a chic sort of look. A very popular example of this would be  KRYSTAL from fx.💙

The spicy face (辣系)🖤:

The spicy face is more of an attractive or "sexy" type of vibe. This face has very sharp features with high cheekbones, a very popular example of this being LISA from blackpink. 🖤

The bitter face (苦系)❤:

The bitter face has more structured features with slightly lower cheekbones with a more powerful / sophisticated look. in my opinion an example of this would be JIHYO from twice. 💚

"How do I do my makeup based off my "taste" face type?"

If you are sweet (甜系):

- You should use a lot of natural / pink shades.

-You should have straight eyebrows.

- You should use more of a pink shade of lip tint.

- You should go for a glossy lip.

- You should use brown eyeliner for a softer look.

-You should use a brown eyeshadow on the bottom outer corner of      your eye to give the appearance of bigger eyes.

- You should contour your eye and draw a very LIGHT &     NATRUAL aegyosal.

- You should wear highlighter on your inner corners of the eye, tip of   the nose and the top of your lip.

- You should wear a  pink blush under you eyes, and a VERY small amount on your nose.

-You should use a black mascara.

If you are salty(盐系):

-You should use a lot of natural shades.

-You should have straight eyebrows

-You should use brown eyeliner for a soft/ natural look.

-You should use a lip tint that replicates your natural lip color

-You can go for a matte or glossy look.

-You can use a subtle highlighter on the tip of your nose.

-You can wear a black or clear mascara.

-You can draw a LIGHT & NATRUAL aegyosal.

If you are spicy(辣系):

-You should use natural / dark brown colors

-You should wear a red lip tint.

-You should wear a smoky eye bold or weak depending on the occasion.

-You should use a dark brown or black eyeliner.

-You should try to achieve the "siren eye" look.

-You can wear a little bit of blush.

-You should wear highlighter on the tip of your nose & lips.

-You should wear a black mascara.

-You can have straight or slightly arched eyebrows.

If you are bitter(苦系):

-You should use natural/ dark brown shades.

-You should wear a dark lip tint with a plum or cherry tint.

-You should wear a dark brown eyeliner.

-You should wear highlighter on your nose, inner corners and cheeks(optional)

-You should have straight eyebrows.

-You should do a weak smoky eye with brown around the edges to make your eyes stand out.

-Aegyosal is optional but if you choose to do one then make it subtle.

-You should contour your features well to make them even sharper.

Undertone: 💖

Undertone is a little bit easier to understand, you can tell it by the color of your veins. If you have blue / purple veins then you have a cool undertone , If you have blue / green veins then you have a neutral undertone , if you have green veins then you have a warm undertone.

"How do I do my makeup based off undertone?" 

Cool-toned makeup:

If you have a cool undertone then you should consider using pinks, cool browns (greyish brown), and generally more matte or pastel colors.

Warm-toned makeup:

If you have a warm undertone then you should wear warm browns, orange & gold colors. You should definitely invest in some bronzer.

EVERY MAKEUP LOOK NEEDS:

-Concealer.

-A Base (foundation or BB cream).

-Eyebrow gel.

-Curled lashes.

-A Lip product.

-Mascara.
